This painting was inspired by our annual Hanapepe Orchid Art Festival, that takes place on Kauai, Hawaii, and the delicious aroma of chocolate scented orchids.

Reverse acrylic on glass is an art form consisting of applying paint to a piece of glass and then viewing the image by turning the glass over and looking through the glass at the image. I paint the image on the back of plexiglas, showing its defined form through the plexiglas to the viewer.

My art is a progression of figurative work that blends concepts with contemporary and whimsical forms and characters, incorporating what I see in nature and what I feel emotionally. I work with acrylic paint, using three dimensional wooden forms, recycled wooden objects, and palm fronds as my canvas.
